Real Estate Project Accountant

The Project Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for the financial management of assigned real estate projects. This role typically includes maintaining project-specific general ledgers, preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cost allocations. The Project Accountant will process invoices, track vendor payments, manage draw requests, and support loan and equity funding activities.

They will coordinate with project managers, asset managers, and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with internal controls, and timely resolution of accounting issues. The role may also involve assisting with audits, supporting cash flow analysis, and contributing to process improvements that enhance financial efficiency across projects.

• Strong project full cycle accounting and general ledger skills for real estate n projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling tools) to analyze and present project data.
• SAGE Intaact or other accounting software experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Experience in real estate development, property management, or construction accounting is strongly preferred.
