Position: Temporary Immigration Clerk – (Multiple Offices)

The Immigration Clerk is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Immigration team, including managing mail, preparing petition packets, maintaining digital and physical records, and coordinating with clients and attorneys.

This is an in-office position resident in Miami or Washington, DC.

Pursuant to Maryland and Washington, DC regulations, the salary for this position is $18.27 -$24 hourly and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for transition to permanent employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Scan all incoming immigration mail and immigration petition packets.
  • Prepare Fed Ex label and compile, scan and mail immigration petitions via Fed Ex.
  • Upload all incoming mail to Net Docs and INSZoom.
  • Enter all data for receipts and approvals into INSZoom.
  • Email and communicate with clients regarding their receipt/approval notices.
  • Prepare approval letters for attorney signatures and send approval packets to clients via Fed Ex.
  • Prepare 50 sets of tabs weekly for petition packages.
  • Send petition packets securely using Titan or One Drive.
  • Support paralegals and attorneys print documents from INSZoom and/or Net Docs.
  • Maintaining Immigration office file records using ARM, including assisting with filing, shelving, indexing, requesting sub-folder labels from ARM and other clerical duties in existing files.
  • Organizes materials into appropriate folders and creates files as needed.
  • Retrieves and delivers files and boxes upon request from Iron Mountain.
  • Maintain files according to firm standards.
  • Coordinate transfer of files with the Information Management Department.
  • Assist attorneys with expense reports.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in management of supply inventory, hospitality duties, and photocopying responsibilities.

Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in data entry

Experience in a law firm or other professional service organizations a plus.
