Part-Time Human Resources Assistant

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Position Overview

The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant monitors and coordinates administrative support processes for the Human Resources department while assisting students, staff, and/or faculty in daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical functions and supports various HR processes including coordination of file submission to the warehouse and maintaining logs.
  • Greets visitors and refers them to the appropriate area; opens, sorts, screens, and prepares outgoing mail.
  • Maintains financial records and databases for the division and produces relevant reports.
  • Prepares, processes, and maintains electronic financial documentation such as department requisitions and purchasing card reconciliations.
  • Prepares, processes, and maintains necessary forms, including equipment requisitions and reimbursements.
  • Scans or links personnel documents for digitization as required.
  • Answers routine questions using applicable policies/procedures and refers complex inquiries to HR staff.
  • Participates in departmental activities or events serving students, faculty, or the community.
  • Performs specialized tasks to aid the department in providing services to students, staff, or faculty as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution with two (2) years of office work experience; or 30 college credits and three (3) years of office work; or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of the College’s organization, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff.
Additional Requirements

The final candidate must successfully complete a background screening and reference check.
