Data Analyst, Business Analyst
The Commercial Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting solutions that support Sales and Guest Services functions, including Commercial and Operational Reporting, Trade Sales, Global Contact Center Sales, and Contact Service. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses, leveraging multiple data sources and tools. The analyst collaborates with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, optimize reporting processes, and provide actionable insights that drive business performance.
EssentialFunctions
Data Analysis & Ad Hoc Reporting
Prepare ad hoc reports and perform detailed analyses to support business decisions.
Utilize SQL and other tools to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources, including CMS, Data Warehouse, Workforce Management systems, Reservations system, Hyperion, and Tableau.
Process & System Enhancements
Assist with projects aimed at improving reporting capabilities and operational efficiency within the Commercial & Operational Reporting Department.
Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline reporting processes.
Collaboration & Knowledge Management
Work closely with internal departments to gather requirements and ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.
Build and maintain an accessible knowledge base for reporting processes and tools.
Operational Support
Contribute to monthly operational reporting, including the CCL Operations Book and Contact Center reporting.
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required.
2–4 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business analytics.
Prior experience in a commercial or operational reporting environment preferred.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and SQL-based reporting essential.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, SQL (Oracle/Microsoft SSMS), and understanding of database design concepts.
Experience with reporting tools and platforms such as Hyperion, Tableau, and Workforce Management systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
This role operates within the Commercial & Operational Reporting team and supports multiple business units, including Sales, Guest Services, and Contact Centers. The analyst manages complex data sets and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in deliverables that impact operational and strategic decisions.
Accurate and timely reporting is critical to informed decision‑making across Sales and Guest Services. The Commercial Reporting Analyst directly influences operational performance by providing insights that drive revenue growth, improve customer experience, and optimize resource allocation.
While this role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, the analyst demonstrates leadership through subject matter expertise, proactive problem‑solving, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The position may mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in reporting and data management.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Location:
This position is classified as in‑office. As an in‑office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
