Job OverviewIFS Copperleaf is seeking a dynamic, strategic Commercial Lead to drive the commercial operations of our asset‑investment planning solutions. The role focuses on pricing and commercial strategy, customer relationships, and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with business objectives in a SaaS environment. Travel is required every quarter to locations including Vancouver, London, and other sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the price book, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing structures.
- Lead the overall pricing strategy, including analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer value propositions.
- Own the comprehensive commercial strategy, aligning it with company goals and adapting to evolving business needs.
- Partner with product teams to inform pricing and commercial decisions based on feature development and roadmap.
- Work with finance to analyze financial impacts of pricing models and commercial initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to align strategies, support deal structuring, and enhance go‑to‑market efforts.
- Oversee renewals processes, including tracking, negotiation, and execution to maximize retention rates.
- Maintain and optimize the renewals database for accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Ensure customer compliance with contracts, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Lead contract structuring and negotiations for key deals, renewals, and amendments.
- Implement tools and processes to track and enhance commercial performance metrics.
- Conduct in‑depth market research to inform pricing models and commercial decisions.
- Analyze competitor offerings, industry benchmarks, and economic factors impacting SaaS pricing.
- Generate actionable insights from data to refine strategies and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Proven experience in a SaaS business with a strong track record in commercial strategy, pricing, or revenue operations.
- Commercially savvy with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Finance or accounting background helpful; familiarity with financial modeling and contract management.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working across product, finance, sales, and marketing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, coupled with effective communication and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 annually + bonus
