The Instrument Man II provides the expertise and coordination in using the surveying equipment to ensure that the work is laid out in the most effective and accurate way possible. Coordinates layout activities with the Party Chief, Superintendent, and/or Foreman for the installation of layout on a project.

The Instrument Man II will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner.

• Responsible for the Installation of Onsite Layout
• Provides Layout which Adheres to Quality Control Requirements
• Ensures a Safe Work Environment
• Participates in Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma and 4 years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have 2 years experience as an Instrument Man I
