Overview

Immediate need for a Certified Construction Cost Estimator who is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other project documents. This role ensures project budgets are reliable, competitive, and aligned with client and company objectives. The estimator works closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors to provide detailed cost assessments and recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work and cost factors.
  • Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating software and databases to produce accurate cost projections.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports for submission to clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs during execution and provide updated forecasts and variance reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of construction materials, labor rates, industry trends, and building codes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and safety requirements in cost estimation.
Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating or cost analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
