This is a full-time, on-site role for a Development Coordinator based in Miami, FL. The Development Coordinator will oversee the product development process from concept to sample approval, ensuring adherence to quality standards, styling guidelines, and production requirements. This role is responsible for managing technical specifications, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring clear communication throughout the development cycle.
The Coordinator will also stay updated on industry trends and support innovative product development initiatives.
- Identify and source fabrics, pantones, and sample references for upcoming collections.
- Approve trims, dips, print strike-offs, fabric quality, and samples against established standards.
- Review techpacks for accuracy and provide feedback for approval.
- Review samples and provide technical guidance for corrections or adjustments.
- Ensure clear communication of styling details and product standards with factory vendors.
- Collaborate with factory vendors to develop innovative techniques and concept samples.
- Stay updated on industry trends, fabrics, prints, and production techniques.
- Organize and maintain accurate size charts for all product lines.
- Send finalized techpacks and art files to factories in a timely manner.
- Attend client and factory meetings as needed to align on development goals.
- Maintain consistent communication with factories via email, Whats App, and WeChat.
- Proven experience in product development, technical design, or a related role in the fashion or textile industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to review and interpret technical specifications, samples, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, prints, and current industry trends.
- Proficiency with techpacks, digital files, and product development documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textile Science, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
