Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics of Homestead is looking for a full-time Orthodontic Assistant for our office located in Homestead, Florida. The Assistant we hire is required to have at least 1+ years of hands on Orthodontic Assistant experience. Must be a team player with a compassionate attitude; self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Candidates must be EFDA & X-ray certified in FL. The hours are Mon-Fri with 1 Saturday a month.

• Clinical Support:
  Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care:
  Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics:
  Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety:
  Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

• Prior ortho assisting experience required
• X-ray & EFDA certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
