The Process Engineer leads optimization and implementation projects that increase productivity, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. This role enhances business processes across manufacturing operations, delivering best‑practice solutions and documenting procedures that are user‑friendly in English and Spanish.
Process Engineer Responsibilities- Optimize and document manufacturing processes across procurement to payables, production operations, inventory management, and shipping.
- Maintain safe, reliable systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
- Collaborate with supervisors and workers to explore initiatives and drive progress.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions and new manufacturing technology.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards.
- Create user‑friendly documentation using web apps, MS tools, ERP integration, and bilingual formats.
- Support seasonal shipping operations to ensure order completion.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
- Develop systems that optimize all phases of production.
- Work with equipment designers to create cost‑effective production processes.
- Ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Record, transcribe, and manage data.
- Work with compliance to ensure adherence to business processes.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Provide flexible scheduling as needed for business demands.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to gather information and support projects.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in process improvement and project management.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, procedures, and quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Power BI).
- Experience with process simulation and process engineering software packages.
- CAD knowledge for presenting technical information.
- Bilingual (English‑Spanish) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stretch, stand, and walk in various settings.
- Standard office equipment and occasional outdoor agricultural settings with variable weather.
- Exposure to plants, soil, shipping materials, dust, noise, and weather conditions.
- Manual labor or physical effort often involved.
