Job Summary

The ADA and Accessibility Manager supports the university's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other related ADA and accessibility laws. This role ensures that programs, services, facilities, and digital resources are accessible to individuals with disabilities. The manager works closely with departments to identify accessibility barriers and implement solutions that promote an accessible environment.

  • Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring ADA compliance and accessibility programs to ensure the organization meets legal requirements.
  • Collaborates with departments to improve accessibility at events and across digital platforms.
  • Coordinates requests for reasonable accommodation, ensuring proper documentation and timely, effective solutions for individuals with disabilities.
  • Serves as a resource for faculty, employees, students, and stakeholders by guiding ADA‑related issues and best practices for accessibility.
  • Assists in developing and delivering training sessions to staff and faculty on ADA regulations, disability rights, and accessibility best practices.
  • Maintains records and documentation for accommodation requests, audits, and compliance efforts.
  • Stays current on legal developments and trends in accessibility, including new technologies and design principles, to ensure continued compliance and improvements.
  • Advocates for using assistive technologies and universal design principles within the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of human resources or related experience.

Departmental Requirements

Within one year the candidate must become a certified ADA Coordinator

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Section 508/ADA Compliance, W3C Standards.
  • Experience providing ADA‑related training or education.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and universal design principles.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) skills.
