Job Description
GLD is seeking a high-taste, hands‑on Head of Product to lead design, merchandising, and product development across our jewelry categories. This role works directly with the Founder to shape culturally relevant product at scale in a fast‑moving environment.
The Head of Product will lead the full product lifecycle across design direction, merchandising strategy, product development, sampling, CAD workflow, and quality assurance. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, deep jewelry knowledge across price points, and a strong understanding of the culture in which the GLD customer lives.
This is a highly active leadership role. Success requires comfort being close to the work — reviewing CAD files, approving prototypes, shaping assortment architecture, driving merchandising decisions, and directing culturally relevant product moments.

Key Responsibilities Design Leadership- Lead and elevate the full design function including concept development, sketch direction, CAD review, and aesthetic execution.
- Work directly with the Founder to define and refine GLD’s product taste framework and ensure all product aligns with brand identity and cultural relevance.
- Oversee design across pendants, chains, rings, earrings, bracelets, and emerging categories.
- Drive innovation while maintaining category DNA and commercial consistency.
- Build and own a cohesive merchandising strategy across categories and seasonal assortments.
- Lead line planning, SKU architecture, pricing strategy, and margin awareness.
- Establish clear product pillars and assortment guardrails that drive clarity, focus, and revenue performance.
- Identify cultural white space, competitive opportunities, and category expansion potential.
- Partner closely with planning, finance, and sourcing to optimize cost, margin, and pricing outcomes.
- Lead sampling, CAD review, technical drawings, prototyping, materials selection, and finishes.
- Partner directly with manufacturing teams and factories to ensure feasibility, quality, and timeline adherence.
- Own quality standards across construction, materials, plating, durability, and consistency.
- Contribute to scalable workflows across design, development, production, e-commerce, and marketing.
- Lead custom projects for athletes, artists, partners, licensing organizations, and cultural moments.
- Translate custom concepts into scalable commercial inspiration when appropriate.
- Ensure custom work elevates brand storytelling, product credibility, and taste level.
- Maintain a deep understanding of global jewelry trends and category dynamics across men’s, women’s, and unisex assortments.
- Interpret culture across music, sports, fashion, and streetwear and translate insight into product.
- Stay informed on competitive trends across fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, and metal-forward accessory programs.
- Consistent delivery of product newness that resonates culturally and performs commercially.
