The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Physician. As one of the largest and highest volume Interventional Radiology (IR) departments in the country and a premier academic institution in South Florida, we offer a full spectrum of IR clinical procedures, training and research while serving over 21,000 patients a year. We work with a wide range of specialists across campus – from Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary, Radiation Oncology, Urology, and Orthopedics to provide excellent multidisciplinary care.

The Staff Physician, Interventional Radiology provides medical care to a large array of patients by providing minimally invasive image‑guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. As assigned by the Chairman, the Physician will provide service at the following UM/ JMH locations:
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Broward County satellite centers in Plantation and Deerfield Beach, Lennar Foundation Medical Center, and UHealth Doral.

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures.
• Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and post intervention.
• Supervise performance of technical personnel.
• Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
• Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging.
• Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
• Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice.
• Be part of the on‑call schedule in Interventional Radiology.
• Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging.

Education: Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent).

Certification and Licensing: Florida Medical License or equivalent;
American Board of Radiology Certification;
Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional.
