Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics; Neonatology

Overview

Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics (Neonatology) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Health System. The division seeks a neonatologist with a focused interest in Neonatal to join Florida's largest academic neonatal/perinatal center with state-of-the-art clinical service and opportunities for clinical/translational research. Clinical services are rendered at all Jackson Hospital locations:
Jackson Memorial Hospital (Holtz Children’s Hospital), Jackson South, and Jackson North.

• Clinical duties as a Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at all covering locations, providing medical care for neonates on a 24/7 rotational schedule.
• Provide antenatal consultations for high-risk pregnancies.
• Care and stabilization of infants in the delivery room.
• Conduct daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal units.
• Administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service.
• Teaching of residents, fellows and medical students.
• Develop and participate in original research (clinical or translational); extramural funding should be sought.

• Active Florida Medical License.
• Board Certified in Pediatrics.
• Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
