Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Orthodox Jewish community day school in North Miami Beach, Florida, is accepting resumes for an experienced full-time Upper Elementary (3rd-5th) General Studies Teacher for the  school year. The school serves over 1,300 students in PK through 12th grade and offers a dual curriculum. • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and fosters student engagement and a cohesive, effective curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and meet the needs of all learners.
• Communicate clear learning targets and success criteria to students for all learning activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Develop formative and summative assessments in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress as required by laws and school policies.
• Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child’s academic and behavioral progress.
• Ensure safety and security of students in classrooms and common areas.
• Supervise students during various school activities (e.g., field trips, assemblies) and assist with carpool and dismissal procedures.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, faculty meetings, and substitute in one class per week as needed.
• Supervise lunch and recess periods.
• Stay up-to-date on current educational trends to continually improve teaching practices.

• Dedication to creating a nurturing and challenging learning environment for students.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a lower school setting.
• Valid teaching certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pedagogical practices and learning theories.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
