School Counselor (Certified)

Miami‑Dade County, FL

Employment:
Part‑time, 20 hours per week during regular school hours (schedule TBD)

• 2025–2026 School Year
• Grades K‑12
• Schools located in the greater Miami area

Be their advocate, confidence builder, and difference maker. Play a critical role in supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students.

• Counsel individuals or small groups of students face‑to‑face in school.
• Impact the educational, behavioral, social, and emotional welfare of every child.
• Nurture student potential through personalized, small group, and classroom counseling.
• Provide support to families, teachers, principals, and other personnel.
• Perform learning assessments when requested, informing referrals.
• Empower parents and staff to access community resources.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Stay current on field trends and knowledge.
• Adhere to the Company Counseling Policy and Procedure Manual and school procedures.
• Ensure student supervision and escorting is safe; light lifting and stair climbing may be required.
• Enter data promptly for reports and compliance.
• Maintain student forms/files per agency requirements.
• Communicate consistently with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Current Florida state licensure or certification preferred (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or school counseling certification); intern licenses accepted.
• Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with school‑aged children in educational settings.
• Willingness and ability to work across grade levels.
• Proficiency with online platforms for record keeping and communication.
• A passion for helping students.

Pay Rate:
Starting at USD $30.00/hr.
