School Counselor (Certified)
Location:
Miami‑Dade County, FL
Employment:
Part‑time, 20 hours per week during regular school hours (schedule TBD)
- 2025–2026 School Year
- Grades K‑12
- Schools located in the greater Miami area
Be their advocate, confidence builder, and difference maker. Play a critical role in supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students.
Responsibilities- Counsel individuals or small groups of students face‑to‑face in school.
- Impact the educational, behavioral, social, and emotional welfare of every child.
- Nurture student potential through personalized, small group, and classroom counseling.
- Provide support to families, teachers, principals, and other personnel.
- Perform learning assessments when requested, informing referrals.
- Empower parents and staff to access community resources.
- Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Stay current on field trends and knowledge.
- Adhere to the Company Counseling Policy and Procedure Manual and school procedures.
- Ensure student supervision and escorting is safe; light lifting and stair climbing may be required.
- Enter data promptly for reports and compliance.
- Maintain student forms/files per agency requirements.
- Communicate consistently with supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Current Florida state licensure or certification preferred (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or school counseling certification); intern licenses accepted.
- Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
- Experience with school‑aged children in educational settings.
- Willingness and ability to work across grade levels.
- Proficiency with online platforms for record keeping and communication.
- A passion for helping students.
Pay Rate:
Starting at USD $30.00/hr.
