English ESE Teacher

Immaculata - La Salle High School, a private Catholic school in Miami, Florida, is seeking a qualified and experienced English ESE Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of language and literature, capable of creating relevant lessons that enhance students' conceptual understanding of language and literature, and employ diverse teaching methodologies. The position begins on August 1, 2025, and requires alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary is commensurate with certification and years of service.

• Ability to teach all levels of high school English, focusing on developing reading and writing skills.
• Familiarity with iPad applications and willingness to incorporate technology into teaching.
• Proficiency with MS Office, online grade books, and other educational applications.
• Experience with varied teaching methodologies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Desire to guide high school students towards holistic personal development.
• Bachelor’s Degree in English/ESE Education or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in ESE Education and/or English preferred.
• FDOE Teaching Certification in English 6-12; ESE certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
• Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
• Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic Catholic Church tenets.
• Professional demeanor.
