St. Mary’s Cathedral School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Middle School Science Teacher for the upcoming  school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Middle School Science (6th - 8th grades). The teacher must create engaging lessons and incorporate hands‑on laboratory experiences where students are able to practice problem‑solving skills.

The Middle School Science teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience

• BS / BA Degree in Education, Science, or related field.
• Teaching Certificate in Science grades 5-9, temporary or professional, or be eligible for certification.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
