Position Overview

This adjunct faculty member provides lecture and clinical teaching in an associate degree nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing. Courses may be taught in multiple modalities: in‑person, live virtual, online, and blended classes.

What you will be doing
  • Supervise students in clinical settings.
  • Teach nursing skills and health assessment.
  • Assign grades for classes taught.
  • Comply with all class schedules and course documentation deadlines.
  • Act as a professional representative with the affiliating agency on behalf of the college.
  • Teach the assigned course consistent with the syllabus and curriculum.
  • Provide academic advisement when assigned.
  • Participate in departmental and college affairs when assigned.
  • Develop curricula when assigned.
  • Recruit students when assigned.
  • Serve on committees when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed
  • Master’s degree with a nursing major; valid Florida nursing license; and two (2) years of equivalent full‑time clinical practice as a registered nurse.
  • All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.
  • Theoretical and clinical expertise in medical‑surgical nursing and/or additional ability to teach psychiatric, obstetrical, community health, or pediatric nursing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel between campuses and clinical agencies.
