Elementary Music Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Lower School Music Teacher for an immediate start at an independent school in Miami, FL
.

• Teach several music courses for lower school students.
• Develop curriculum aligned with NAFME standards that promotes students’ creative, performance, and response abilities.
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and responsible use of musical instruments, equipment, and technology.
• Build strong relationships through clear and consistent communication with families, students, and colleagues, including timely updates on student progress and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and remain current with trends in the field.
• Prepare students for school concerts and planned music experiences.
• Inspire and motivate students to extend themselves to after‑school music clubs.
• Build relationships and mentor students.

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of K-12 teaching experience required.
• Strong vocal and instrumental skills.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

• Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
