Location: New World School of the Arts, Wolfson Campus, Miami Dade College, Miami, FL

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Reports To: Dean of Music, New World School of the Arts

Salary: $54.37 per hour (Base Rate)

Closing Date: Ongoing

This adjunct faculty member teaches music courses to college students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music in Performance or Composition degree programs at New World School of the Arts, located at the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College in downtown Miami. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

• Teach lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluate and advise students
• Participate in departmental and college affairs
• Develop curricula
• Recruit students
• Serve on committees
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Master's degree in Music from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Music
• Teaching experience at the college or community college level preferred
• Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
• Must possess excellent organizational skills
