$53,053.00/yr (Base pay)

• Prepares lesson objectives and outlines of study following district curriculum guidelines.
• Lectures, demonstrates, selects appropriate materials, and uses visuals and audiovisual teaching aids to present subject matter to the class.
• Maintains a portfolio of student artwork and prepares and administers assessments to measure students’ progress, records results, issues reports to inform parents, and assigns final grades.
• Assigns lessons and assesses students’ progress.
• Maintains attendance and grade records as required by school.
• Participates in school, community, district, state, and national exhibitions and contests.
• Participates in faculty and professional meetings and in-service classes.
• Performs related work as required or as assigned by the supervising administrator or his/her designee.
• Provides opportunities for students to visit museums, galleries, and artist studios as part of their learning experience.

Medium work requiring climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. The worker is exposed to hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils. The work is performed indoors and outdoors.

Starting Salary: $53,053.00 (includes 6% Referendum Retirement Accruing Supplement of $3,003). New hires may be eligible for credit for verified years of experience, which can enhance their starting salary. For more details refer to the Newly Hired/Teachers Salary Schedule and salary inquiries.
