The Assistant Director, Education & Learning, Department of Access, Compliance, and Equal Opportunity (ACE) plays a key role in designing, facilitating, and administering organizational education experiences, providing support for faculty, staff, students, University committees, groups, and programs. The assistant director will also lead education opportunities to meet grants, accreditations, federal and state compliance requirements, as well as monitoring changes in federal and state laws with a view to bridging gaps in communication and knowledge.
- Assists in directing the research, design, development, implementation, and coordination of new or existing educational learning curricula and experiences for faculty, staff, and students to create awareness, promote and ensure compliance, and reflect institutional commitment to federal, state, and University non-discrimination and equal opportunity requirements.
- Collaboratively design, plan, and facilitate, non-discrimination and equal opportunity focused trainings, workshops, and seminars, to accommodate a wide array of demands from various external contractors and federal and state partners.
- Coaches and supports students, faculty, and staff in developing equal opportunity awareness and skill sets in alignment with the University's values and commitments to federal and state partners.
- Lends expertise to the development and facilitation of in-person or asynchronous trainings, ensuring best practices for innovative virtual and face-to-face learning experiences at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- Provides support to CRCA by leading Educational Conversations with respondents or other parties as necessary in response to incident reports.
- Works collaboratively with institutional partners to support and enhance the University experience for constituents. Integrates compliance-centered approaches into employee onboarding, training, and professional development, creating a supportive environment that promotes the recruitment, retention, and success of underserved students and employees.
- Identifies the gaps in existing education and awareness efforts as they pertain to federal and state laws, and University policies. Develops strategies to address these gaps and ensure continued compliance and alignment with laws and best practices, and University policies and guidelines.
- Monitors the development of new laws, amendments to existing laws and policies, and ensures updates to existing training programs as well as the development of new materials as needed.
- Provides support for departmental review and approval of faculty search and screen committees.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of professional talent management and development experience.
