Job Summary

The Center for Children and Families is hiring elementary‑level regular and special education teachers, and elementary‐level art teachers for the Summer Treatment Program (STP) 2026. The program serves children with ADHD, conduct disorder, and related behavioral and learning problems.

Responsibilities

• Teach 2–3 groups of 10–15 children per classroom while implementing an extensive behavior modification treatment program.
• Plan and deliver daily academic activities (arithmetic, reading, language arts) and art projects (45 minutes per day).
• Record, track, and enter daily behavior and performance data.
• Supervise a classroom aide for classroom management and record‑keeping.
• Participate in training, lectures, role‐plays, and prepare child treatment reports.
• Collect and report treatment outcomes to program staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related discipline.
• Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45‑hour Child Care Facility Training.
• Florida Child Care Staff Credentialing Certificate (within 60 days).
• CPR/Standard First Aid Certification (within 30 days).

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Education/Special Education, Psychology/Mental Health, social work, or related fields.
• Current teacher certification.

• Salary: $10,000 for the summer (June 8 – August 1 , 2026).
