The Part‑Time Tutor provides academic tutoring to students as a temporary, grant‑funded position.

• Serve as a role model and motivate students to achieve and assist with their academic needs
• Attend all tutor trainings and required meetings
• Complete tutoring reports
• Monitor student progress
• Guide students to use educational software at the labs
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High‑School Diploma or equivalent accredited GED and completion of one (1) specified college discipline course from a regionally accredited institution
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized
• Strong interpersonal and decision‑making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Ability to assess and provide guidance to students on the use of educational software
• Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff

The final candidate must successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
