Early Childhood Teacher – University of Miami
We are seeking an early childhood teacher to plan, organize, and implement an inclusive instructional curriculum for infants and toddlers in a 12‑month full‑time position. The incumbent will work closely with a teaching assistant to deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences and monitor student progress.
Core Job Functions- Develop comprehensive lesson plans and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Select instructional resources to meet diverse student needs.
- Provide a syllabus of course material before the start of the course when applicable.
- Record daily attendance.
- Administer tests, evaluations, and/or assessments to monitor progress of individual students.
- Provide homework assignments on course materials to evaluate course knowledge.
- Update all necessary records as required by applicable laws, district policies, and school regulations.
- Work directly with teaching assistant(s) on the application of an appropriate instructional curriculum.
- Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and safeguard University assets.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Certification and Licensing: Professional teaching certificate in early childhood education (or eligible).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience. Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
