The Part‑Time Lab Instructor supports the department in the delivery of instruction to present material to students who are pursuing classes.

• Researches, develops, and conducts workshops and orientations for students
• Assists in development of material
• Provides instruction in a lab setting or classroom setting
• Evaluates and grades student written work and software assignments
• Computes final lab student grades of end of term for all lab courses
• Maintains students’ records, academic progress and attendance rosters as assigned
• Provides training for other lab staff members on lab policy and procedures
• Participates in workshops and trainings
• Serves on Campus committees as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and one (1) year of teaching experience
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
• Possess well‑developed communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Ability to follow OSHA safety and proper disposal requirements in the laboratory
• Knowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills, and testing
• Ability to positively interact with staff, students, and faculty
• Possess a friendly demeanor and provide intelligent solutions
• Knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies for academic support
• Possess an aptitude for teaching and interest in working with students
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
• Ability to work well in a multi‑ethnic and multi‑cultural environment with students, faculty and staff

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
