Village Montessori is seeking a warm, experienced Infant Montessori Lead Guide to join our community in sunny Miami, Florida.
Our Nido serves children from 3 months to 16 months in a beautiful, authentic Montessori environment thoughtfully prepared to support the earliest and most important stage of a child's development.
We are looking for a guide who understands that the infant's first experience outside the family helps shape their relationship with the world. Our Nido honors each child's natural development, growing independence, movement, language, and emerging sense of "I can."
About the RoleAs our Infant Lead Guide, you will create and maintain a peaceful, responsive Montessori environment where infants are treated with respect and given the time and space to develop at their individual pace.
The Lead Guide will:
- Prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori Nido environment
- Observe each child carefully and respond to their individual developmental needs
- Support freedom of movement, independence, language, and concentration
- Approach feeding, diapering, toileting, sleep, and other caregiving moments with respect and intention
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families
- Guide and collaborate with the classroom assistant
- Work closely with our Montessori leadership team
Our ideal candidate has a Montessori 0-3 credential or Diploma from a recognized Montessori training organization and experience working with infants.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who truly understands and respects the Montessori approach to the child from birth - someone who sees caregiving not simply as meeting an infant's needs, but as an important part of the child's development of trust, independence, and connection.
