Miami Dade College (MDC) seeks qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Adjunct Faculty – Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The selected individual will provide high-quality instruction in CDL courses and related areas, ensuring student success through innovative teaching practices.
Courses may be delivered through multiple modalities, including MDC In-Person
, MDC Live (virtual interactive learning),
MDC Online
, and Blended Classes
.
Teach CDL courses in both lecture and laboratory environments.
Develop and organize instructional materials that align with course objectives.
Assess student progress and provide academic advising.
Participate in curriculum development and program improvement.
Engage in student recruitment and community outreach activities.
Contribute to departmental and college initiatives.
Serve on committees and perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Class A CDL license with at least two (2) years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience demonstrating instructional competency.
All educational credentials must be obtained from regionally accredited institutions
.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Willingness to travel between campuses, training sites, and off-campus locations.
