Job Description
The Ever Clean Field Technician is responsible for tendering and piloting Greensea IQ’s Hull Service Robot (HSR) in a safe and efficient manner. The candidate should be competent in the maintenance and repair of all electronic, electrical, mechanical, and sub‑systems associated with the vehicle, including component repair, replacement, and troubleshooting. The majority of operations will take place at major ports and harbors around the country and will require a significant amount of traveling, including driving a specially outfitted control van.
The Ever Clean Field Technician reports directly to the Ever Clean Field Supervisor.
- Piloting and tendering remote vehicles.
- Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization/demobilization.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicles per Greensea IQ’s planned maintenance plan.
- Evaluate system maintenance schedules and advise the Supervisor of any technical matters, needs, and upgrades.
- Establish and maintain parts and supplies associated with all electrical and electronic devices.
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory associated with all systems.
- Assist in the post‑processing of all data collected during operation to build out field reports.
- Ensure that internal/external Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Assist the engineering department with testing and data collection at our test facility in Cape Canaveral, FL.
- Perform all other responsibilities as reasonably assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Qualified and experienced in ROV operations as a technician (1+ year).
- Qualified in electrical and mechanical or a relevant discipline.
- Proven track record in ROV operations.
- Working knowledge of the maritime industry.
- Strong computer skills including experience in Linux and Windows.
- Will require assisting in driving the operations van for 6+ hours to different job locations.
- Willing to travel for 5+ days at a time.
- Ability to work weekends, occasional overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and submit a driving record for the past three years.
- Must be able to obtain a valid passport and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing jobs depending on job requirements.
- Ability to work successfully as a team member; easygoing, hardworking, with great communication skills, willing and able to work with clients and field crews.
- Ability to operate in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
