Your impactAt Jacobs, we challenge what is accepted, so we can shape innovative and lasting solutions for tomorrow. We are seeking a highly motivated, client‑focused Water/Wastewater Process Engineer for our Miami, FL office to support exciting and impactful projects across the region.
You will work on a variety of water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, and process optimization projects. Each day, you will contribute designing, analyzing, coordinating, improving treatment processes, and execution of projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Our senior engineers provide strong mentorship and opportunities for growth in a fast‑paced consulting environment. Participation in professional society activities will be supported and encouraged as you develop your career.
Responsibilities- Assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.
- Perform a wide variety of routine assignments that are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
- Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and perform calculations.
- Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, and drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
- Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
- Maintain project deadlines and contribute to strong client relationships.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with multi‑disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer License in Florida or ability to gain reciprocity.
- Experience with treatment systems and process automation.
The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $91,125.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
