We are seeking an experienced Highway Design Project Manager to lead and manage highway design projects in Florida. This role is ideal for a results‑driven professional who thrives in both technical and leadership capacities, with a passion for delivering innovative transportation solutions for clients.

• Registered PE in the State of Florida
• Minimum of 15 years FDOT and highway‑specific project experience
• A BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design from an ABET‑accredited college or university
• Experience pursuing and managing multi‑discipline projects, including bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation
• Client relationships with FDOT District Four and FDOT District Six
• Proficiency in Micro Station and Bentley Open Road Designer; familiarity with AASHTO standards
• Ability to work in a team environment with a professional sense of urgency and self‑initiative to meet client needs
• Strong work ethic and ability to mentor junior engineers
• Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English

• Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients
• Prepare proposals and marketing presentations
• Manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule
• Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians and junior engineers for contract plan development
• Lead and manage the planning, design, and delivery of highway and roadway projects from concept through construction
• Oversee and coordinate project teams, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design standards
• Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for roadway geometric design, drainage, traffic control, and related highway design elements
• Develop and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules; prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and agencies to ensure project success
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Perform roadway design tasks and plan preparation utilizing Open Road Designer, from conception to final deliverables, including specs package and cost estimate
• Review and check roadway and shop drawings; prepare project‑related documents and internal correspondence
• Perform and check quantity take‑offs from contract plans
