Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the Proton Therapy System (PTS), troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine preventative maintenance, conduct system inspections, and communicate the system status to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Support hardware and software testing, and participate in all phases of PTS maintenance, including unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, and other site-related activities that affect global operations.
  • Maintain and deploy the PTS for various customer needs, including QA, development, software/hardware testing, troubleshooting, and experimentation.
  • Troubleshoot PTS equipment across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, corrective maintenance as necessary, and document status clearly to leadership and site teams.
  • Provide support to PTS hardware and software testing; support daily clinical operations for customer clinical staff per Site Manager and Site Technical Leader (STL) policies.
  • Maintain adequate records per customer and Site Manager, in accordance with company QA and FDA regulations.
  • Coach and support new hires and peers in a career progression path.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
What we value

You have:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Physics or another applicable field, or a High School diploma or Associate’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience in hands-on electrical, mechanical system repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of large integrated systems.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical/mechanical system repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large integrated systems.
  • Experience in several of the following areas:
    Cyclotrons, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Software Analysis, X-Ray Systems, Positioning Equipment, Cooling Systems, Vacuum Systems, PLCs (Siemens), Regulation Loops, Drivers, Sensors, Electric Motors, Radars, High Voltage Equipment, Power Supplies, Proton Therapy Systems, etc.
  • Solid general knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Teams).
  • Knowledge of local EHS regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux systems, SAP, Siemens Step 7, and Service Max is a plus.
  • Experience in LEAN maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $66,500 - $89,800 USD. Within this range, compensation is influenced by location, skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may qualify for discretionary bonuses, profit sharing, commissions, and benefits.
