Department & Location

Civil/Municipal – Miami, FL

Responsibilities

• Preparation of design plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of water/wastewater and stormwater projects including transmission, distribution, collection, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, and other engineering tasks.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, including stormwater pre/post and advanced treatment and storage design, as well as water and sewer pumping systems and hydraulic distribution modeling.
• Interact with public and private clients and jurisdictional agencies to ensure project compliance.
• Review design plans and assist a registered engineer with plan modifications; coordinate with drafting personnel to integrate changes.
• Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, and presentations.
• Manage time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Travel as needed for site investigations, construction observation, and project transmittals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• E‑I Certificate preferred (or eligible for FE exam).
• Detail‑oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
• Team player able to meet deadlines in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
• Experience with Water
  
  CAD, ICPR, or other modeling software preferred.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
