Job Purpose

Manage all aspects of a project, or various mid-level projects, including financial administration, budgeting, and manpower planning, to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects, within budget, and in compliance with applicable safety and engineering codes and standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Use advanced techniques in this modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments.
  • Applies knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or conditions.
  • Keep informed of new methods and developments affecting his/her organization and recommend new practices or changes in emphasis of programs.
  • Develop new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
  • Serve as technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area.
  • Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Strictly adheres to the office standards, policies, and project schedules. Informs, in a timely manner, project manager and/or supervisor regarding any conflicts/issues that relate to his/her work.
  • Escalate, in a timely manner, potential conflicts/issues that may affect project deliverables.
  • Effectively mentor, train and develop people within and/or outside his/her work group/team.
  • Enter time accurately daily and complete projects on budget.
  • Learning is a required assignment for all employees.
Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or documented combination of education and professional experience in related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or General Contractor license preferred.
  • Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
  • 4-7 years of post-degree work experience, which must have involved construction, design, inspection or estimating.
  • Structural, architectural, MEP, forensics, restoration, and/or building envelope consulting services.
Skills and Abilities
  • English proficiency (Speak, read, understand, interpret content and write).
  • Proven ability to lead and engage teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering project management and budget controls.
