Associate Structures Engineer

Job Description

At BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, we are looking for an Associate Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design and analysis of complex transportation structures while growing your technical skills under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations, and drawings for steel bridges; pre‑cast, pre‑stressed concrete bridges; cast‑in‑place flat slabs; and other structural elements under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Effectively apply pre‑established design templates.
• Approach tasks with an open mindset, proposing innovative solutions to design problems.
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
• Track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers as needed.
• Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; provide external communication as required on assigned tasks.
• Present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
• Adhere to company marketing requirements by updating your resume and participating in marketing campaigns in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
• Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• 0+ years of related work experience.

• Engineer Intern (EI) certificate.

$26.25 – $45.96 per hour
