The Software Development Engineer assists in defining and implementing new product or enhancing current designs of software modules and components that meet functional specifications and target due dates. The incumbent assists in collecting, interpreting, and documenting system requirements; participates in component, subsystem, and system concept design verifying key design parameters and evaluating design options; assists in developing and recommending methods, tools, and designs for software development process improvement or development cost reduction;
summarizing details of designs, analytical methods, and results; and participates on multi-functional product research and development teams, product and/or system design reviews.
