- Lead project team in the field and perform on-site stack testing and source emissions monitoring in accordance with federal and regional regulatory methods (e.g., EPA Reference Methods, ECCC).
- Plan and manage assigned field deployments, including crew logistics, equipment preparation, and safety procedures.
- Analyze collected data and ensure QA/QC protocols are strictly followed throughout testing and reporting processes.
- Serve as a technical liaison with clients, regulators, and internal teams to communicate project scope, progress, and findings.
- Train, mentor, and oversee junior field technicians and new team members on project assignments.
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical and sampling equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Support project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting in collaboration with project managers and senior leadership.
- Keep current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices as a team.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including regulatory documentation, emissions data summaries, and field observations.
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
- Preferably, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Air Quality field.
- Ambient monitoring experience is an asset.
- Strong computer and analytical technical “hands‑on” skills.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude.
- Field/site experience is a definite asset.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong people and team skills and high motivation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational, coordination, and consultation skills.
- Willingness to travel, and work outdoors including long hours, evenings, and weekends.
- Capability to collect samples at locations that may require working at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
