This is a unique opportunity to join a leading North American digital infrastructure platform operating energy-intensive data center and high-performance computing environments, supporting workloads across AI, cloud, blockchain compute, and enterprise hosting. The organization operates a mix of owned and partner data center assets and is aggressively expanding its national footprint, with significant capital being deployed into new campuses and power capabilities.

As Head of Power Generation, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s long-term energy strategy—ensuring reliable, cost-advantaged, and sustainable power supply across multiple sites. This includes integrating a portfolio of generation technologies such as natural gas, renewables, battery storage, fuel cells, and potentially advanced modular nuclear solutions to support mission‑critical uptime and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the company’s multi‑site power strategy, aligning generation capacity with current operations, new campus build‑outs, and future campus development.

• Identify, structure, negotiate, and secure partnerships or joint ventures with utilities, IPPs, and technology providers.

• Create a pipeline of dispatchable, site‑specific power solutions that improve reliability, reduce cost exposure, and support long‑term energy transition planning.

• Guide interconnection strategy, power procurement decisions, and economic modelling for new developments and feasibility assessments.

• Integrate diverse generation solutions—including gas, renewables, storage, fuel cells, and advanced nuclear—into the corporate energy portfolio.

• Advise leadership on policy, investment prioritization, capital deployment, regulatory considerations, and the overall energy transition roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power generation, IPP development, or utility environments.

• Strong commercial and partnership development background.

• Understanding of high‑uptime energy requirements and interconnection challenges.

• Strategic leader comfortable in high‑growth, entrepreneurial settings.
