Geothermal Energy Well Design Thermal Systems
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Geothermal Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Enhanced Quantum Geothermal (EQG) systems. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to advance our proprietary geothermal extraction technology, ensuring maximum efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead the design and development of innovative geothermal extraction systems
- Optimize well configurations for maximum heat and methane extraction
- Develop and implement thermal management strategies for geothermal resources
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geothermal systems with other technologies
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and resource assessments
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in geothermal engineering or related field
- Proven experience with geothermal well design and thermal systems
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
- Experience with simulation software for geothermal systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- PhD in relevant engineering discipline
- Experience with enhanced geothermal systems (EGS)
- Knowledge of carbon capture and utilization technologies
- Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling
- Publications in relevant scientific journals
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
