Cryogenic Systems Engineer

We are looking for a talented Cryogenic Systems Engineer to join our team and lead the development of advanced cryogenic systems for liquid methane and oxygen production. In this role, you will design, optimize, and implement innovative cryogenic processes that leverage our geothermal energy extraction technology.

• Design and optimize cryogenic systems for liquefaction of methane and oxygen
• Develop thermal management strategies for cryogenic fluids
• Create process flow diagrams and equipment specifications
• Perform heat and mass balance calculations for cryogenic processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryogenic systems with other technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cryogenic systems
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cryogenics

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cryogenic engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
• Experience with cryogenic system design and liquefaction processes
• Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

• Experience with liquid methane and oxygen production
• Knowledge of aerospace propellant systems
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling
• Familiarity with cryogenic storage and transport systems
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
