This opportunity entails being responsible for performing a moderately supervised position in a team environment. Responsible for assisting assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s). Support the planning, design, and delivery of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and TSM&O projects. The position will leverage construction expertise while expanding into ITS design, project delivery, and program management.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects. Develops project quantity and cost estimates.

Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree in Drafting and 5 years of relevant experience, orIn lieu of education, 7 years of related experience

What We Prefer:

Familiarity with FDOT ITS standards, specifications, and construction practices.

Knowledge of ITS infrastructure, including devices, cabinets, communications, power, and related field systems.

Interest in expanding into ITS design, project delivery, and program management responsibilities.

IMSA Traffic Signal Technician certified.
