Skilled Trade - Packaging Lab Technician

Job Description

• Assisting engineers with daily testing tasks and documenting test results to assist with Distribution Test Reports.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments of products and be responsible for the Lab Housekeeping and organization of supplies and materials.
• Define packaging materials, with a focus on waste reduction.
• Execute packing instructions, conduct test sequences, download and manage data files, and provide input to other engineers.
• Manage lab schedules and participate in weekly status reports for all projects in and out of the labs.

Full on‑site position at the Shock & Vibration Lab, reporting to the Package Engineering team at the Kendall campus. Candidate will conduct both physical testing and environmental exposure testing. Must be able to lift 50lbs, be meticulous, follow processes and procedures, and be timely. Lab trainings will be provided.

• College education in Packaging, Materials Sciences, or related programs.
• Experience or knowledge of Packaging Standards such as ASTM D series and/or ISTA.
• Other engineering coursework, such as Mechanical or Electrical.
• Packing or Warehouse experience.
• CAD or drafting and design experience.

• Higher Education or College coursework in Packaging, Materials Sciences, or related programs.
• Preferred experience in related FDA regulated field.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in technical writing; ISO and GMP as required.

• Experience or knowledge with Packaging Standards such as ASTM D series and/or ISTA.
• CAD Software experience.
• Packing or Warehouse experience.
