Shore Excursions Inventory and Projects Coordinator

Where passion meets opportunity. The best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!

Your Purpose

The Shore Excursions Inventory & Project Coordinator is responsible for the accurate configuration, loading, and maintenance of all shore excursion inventory, pricing and operational data across company systems. This role ensures inventory readiness for each voyage and supports cross-departmental projects requiring technical coordination. Ideal candidates bring strong analytical and systems skills with a high commitment to accuracy.

This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.

Your Impact
  • Set up new shore excursion programs on a regular basis and maintain existing programs across all systems, including loading and updating shore excursion inventory and pricing in reservation systems.
  • Create and upload web files in the required formats, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Web Marketing and Product guidelines.
  • Ensure timely set-up of programs for each sailing, including itinerary changes, seasonal product rotations, and last‑minute updates.
  • Identify and report set‑up or web‑related issues (including system bugs) for troubleshooting in collaboration with Web Marketing and IT teams.
  • Create and maintain excursion costing and tour bids for new and existing programs within the costing platform.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales performance; proactively communicate with tour operators, ships, and contact centers to optimize availability.
  • Communicate tour cancellations and product updates to global contact centers and other relevant internal teams to ensure timely guest communication.
  • Support cross‑functional projects that require data organization or operational alignment.
  • Provide operational support to Customer Service and global contact centers, addressing inquiries, clarifying program details, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and other departments to ensure consistent, accurate, and guest‑ready program information.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned by the manager.
Your Journey so far
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Tourism, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in inventory management, data coordination, or operational support—preferably in travel, hospitality, or cruise operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with reservation, product, or inventory systems.
  • Proficient in Excel; comfortable working with large data sets and system interfaces.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Although travel is not a core component of the role due to the nature of cruise industry operations, the position may require participation in familiarization trips (fam trips) for an estimated total of up to 10% travel annually.
Your Essentials
  • US Passport or US Permanent Resident.
  • Must hold a valid passport.
  • MSC Cruises is an E‑Verify employer.
  • MSC Cruises USA is an equal opportunity employer that complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
