The Light Technician (LGHT) is responsible for the programming, safe operation and maintenance of all lighting, show control and haze/fog systems in the various entertainment venues for a variety of produced entertainment, events and activities.

• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, A/V preferred.
• Background in stage, technical theater and production (i.e., electrical, technical, light and sound) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with hands‑on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.

• Musical theater and experience with show control systems is preferred.
• Proficient in the operation of lighting control consoles and programs.
• Working knowledge of, and ability to perform, basic troubleshooting and maintenance on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures, DMX controlled scrollers, ETC sensor dimming systems, follow spotlights, haze/fog systems and lighting control consoles.
• Must be able to work well with others; this is essential, as the LGHT will work with a team of technicians and a cast of performers on a regular basis.
• Thorough understanding of computer networking preferred.
• Well versed in various software applications applicable to entertainment technology.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate the need for technical support.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in the entertainment industry.
• Experience with Hog and Grand MA.
