Position: Casino Supervisor (Seagoing)

We are on the hunt for a super‑talented Casino Supervisor who is passionate about providing a stellar experience for the guests that visit our onboard Casino.

This person will deliver a memorable and outstanding Casino service to Sailors onboard by assisting in the supervision, support and delivery of high standards within the Casino operation.

In other words, this person needs to know how to Make Ship Happen. Your excellent attention to detail and self‑starter mentality means you can think quick on your feet and keep calm when ship gets real. Ultimately, we won’t be able to remember how we got by without you.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain positive Sailor relations at all times.
  • Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the Casino operation.
  • Assist in creating and delivering an entertaining gaming atmosphere that intrigues, attracts and retains the attention of Sailors thus providing a constant flow and enhancing revenue.
  • Responsible for monitoring both Sailors and Casino personnel to minimize the risk of security threats and fraud.
  • Ensure all Casino personnel provide a positive first impression to every Sailor.
  • Assist Sailor's by providing knowledge and guidance on Casino services, products and activities.
  • Be familiar with all cruise services/features and activations to respond to Sailor inquiries accurately. Follow up with Technical department for repairs and notifies Casino Manager of any repairs that will significantly affect Casino revenue.
  • Assist in preparing and implementing Casino work schedules ensuring all stations and hours of opening are fully staffed.
  • Monitor Work and Rest hours of all Casino staff ensuring MLC guidelines are adhered to.
  • Responsible for assisting with Casino marketing and promotion strategies targeting the increase in volume of Sailors and revenue.
  • Extend courteous salutations when guests leave outlet and invite them to return.
  • Communicate any potential losses to Assistant or Casino Manager onboard.
  • Refer any disputes or disagreements within their area to the Assistant or Casino Manager and seek to resolve.
  • Assist in the development and training of Casino staff and provides mentoring and coaching to ensure a high standard of performance is maintained.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Casino Supervisor in a Casino onboard a Cruise ship or on land. Passionate about people and able to handle guest complaints with a smile!
  • Experience on leading a diverse (and amazing) team.
  • All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Last appraisal report to be submitted together with the SeaV.
