We are seeking a dedicated Senior Staff Accountant to play a pivotal role in our financial operations. This position requires close collaboration with a diverse range of personnel and will significantly contribute to the daily functions of our office.
Responsibilities- Monthly Bank Account Reconciliation:
Ensure accurate reconciliation of all bank accounts on a monthly basis to maintain financial integrity. - Balance Sheet Accountability:
Oversee the reconciliation and accountability of various balance sheet accounts, including comprehensive management of bank accounts, fixed assets, and equity accounts. - Job Cost Tracking:
Accurately track job costs for projects in both the pre-development and development phases, ensuring transparency and accountability. - Inter-Company Ledger Reconciliation:
Reconcile all inter-company general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting. - Budget Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis and distribution of monthly budget versus actual reports, providing insights to enhance financial decision-making. - Cash Flow Management:
Assist the Controller or CFO in cash flow forecasting and analysis, contributing to strategic financial planning. - General Ledger Preparation:
Prepare the general ledgers that culminate in internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy. - Audit and Tax Support:
Facilitate year-end audit procedures and tax preparation, providing essential support for financial reviews and filings. - Contract Monitoring:
Diligently monitor, manage, and accurately record all contracts within budget line items to ensure adherence to financial goals.
- High School diploma required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of general accounting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in essential software applications, including MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Previous experience in the commercial or residential real estate industry is preferred, bringing industry-specific knowledge to the role.
