Accounting Manager

Position Overview

A leading publicly traded AI consultancy and executive advisory firm that enables Digital World Class® performance is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the Company’s global commissions calculations, analysis, and processing of commission payments across the organization. This role requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles and cross-functional collaboration, reporting to the Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities

Global Commissions:

  • Manage end-to-end global commission processes, including monthly and quarterly commission calculations (cadence, as determined by the commission plans), validation, reconciliation and provide oversight of the payment processing.
  • Analyze commission data and calculations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies on a timely basis to meet payroll obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Company’s COO, Sales teams, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and the Practice Leaders to gather required data, clarify rules, and resolve issues related to commission plans.
  • Interpret and apply commission policies and plan documentation, ensuring timeliness and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed commission reports, summarizing commission results for review by the Practice Leaders, followed by the COO.
  • Develop and improve commission models in Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation with the IT team to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Manage SEC quarterly close activities related to commission accruals and expense recognition, including disclosure requirements in the Form 10Q and Form 10K.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Sales teams and the Practice Leaders regarding commission calculations and payments in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support annual planning cycles, assisting in the development/updates in Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation of incentive compensation plans.

SEC Filings:

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC related disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (US GAAP) and disclosure requirements.
  • Maintain internal checklists, disclosure support, and XBRL tagging with attention to detail and accuracy.

Accounting & Special Projects:

  • Support special projects such as new accounting standard implementations (ASC topics), system integrations, or process automation.
  • Provide technical accounting research and prepare position papers for accounting transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency in reporting and accounting operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • 5 to 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with an ERP system is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to manage large volume datasets, resolve discrepancies and troubleshooting the ERP module - Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining calculations into clear responses.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
