VP, Commercial Credit Analyst

One Search Group is partnering with a well‑established and growing Commercial Banking platform in South Florida to identify a Vice President, Commercial Credit Analyst. This role sits within the bank’s credit function and focuses on underwriting complex commercial credit transactions across C&I, CRE, and specialized lending structures.

The ideal candidate brings deep underwriting expertise, strong financial analysis skills, and the ability to independently evaluate credit risk while partnering closely with Relationship Managers and Credit leadership.

• Underwrite new and existing Commercial Banking credit relationships, including complex C&I and CRE transactions, with a focus on credit quality, repayment capacity, and overall risk assessment.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, global cash flow analysis, guarantor analysis, projections, and industry review.
• Evaluate borrower operating performance and capital structures to support credit decisions for new originations, renewals, extensions, and modifications.
• Gather and assess financial and qualitative information from Relationship Managers and internal partners to support timely and well‑structured credit submissions.
• Prepare comprehensive underwriting packages, including financial spreads, credit memoranda, and risk assessments for internal approval.
• Ensure all underwriting activities comply with internal credit policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Apply sound judgment in identifying key risks, mitigants, and structural considerations across a variety of commercial loan products.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, documentation, and analytical rigor across all credit deliverables.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting experience within a Commercial Banking environment.
• Strong underwriting background across C&I and CRE loans; exposure to specialized lending (e.g., SBA, asset‑based, construction, or similar structures) preferred.
• Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills, including cash flow and global cash flow analysis.
