Loan Servicing Specialist

Banesco USA is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist for our Loan Operations unit.

• Assist customers, bank staff, government agencies, and insurance agents with inquiries and/or research related to escrow disbursements, loan servicing, and insurances.
• Assure proper input of all types of insurances in the Jack Henry system, ensuring required fields are completed, including flood determination information.
• Prepare flood expiration notices within the time frame stipulated by regulations.
• Monitor all insurances via the tickler system and disburse funds for the payment of insurance premiums for the loans in escrow.
• Assure real estate taxes are properly entered when new loans are booked in Jack Henry and the folio numbers with legal description are sent on a timely basis to Core Logic for accurate tracking.
• Process escrow disbursements and prepare checks to pay agents and/or insurance companies.
• Assist in the reconciliation of the flood determination and tax service fee general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepare satisfaction, partial release and UCC on paid‑off loans.
• Send letters to borrowers informing them of delinquency in taxes.
• Review insurance and real estate tax tickler report on a weekly basis to ensure no lapse in coverage or delinquent taxes.
• Prepare insurance and real estate tax tickler reports from Cognos on a monthly basis.
• Perform escrow disbursements, escrow analysis as needed.
• Process escrow analysis on an annual basis as needed.
• Complete annual training program assigned.
• Prepare UCC‑3 Continuations as needed.
• Prepare payoff and partial release letters.
• Back up for preparing the daily PLC reconciliation.
• Perform other functions and/or duties as assigned.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in loan servicing/operations.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of Participated and Syndicated Loans.
• Knowledge of Jack Henry.
• Knowledge of Cognos (highly preferred).
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish; fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing both languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all organization levels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi‑task with strong organization, time‑management, and prioritizing skills.
• Customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
• Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures, and policies ensuring compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
